Social & Ethics Policy

The Accéntuate Ltd Social and Ethics policy ensures that the Group and its subsidiaries undertake its activities in a socially, ethically and environmentally responsible manner. This includes the ethical treatment of employees, customers, shareholders, suppliers and the communities within which it operates. This policy includes both group activities and the social impact of its activities.

The Accéntuate Ltd Social & Ethics Policy acts as a reference point to guide employees and stakeholders on the aspects that drive the conduct of the Accentuate Group’s business relationships. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the implementation of this policy and compliance with this policy will be overseen by the Social & Ethics Committee established in accordance with the provision of the Companies Act.


Accéntuate is committed to the principles of good corporate governance and to ensure that its business is conducted with due care and reference to the impact on its stakeholders.
Accéntuate is committed to integrity, honesty and professionalism in all of its dealings. For this reason Accéntuate will not involve itself in unethical business practices including but not limited to bribery, corruption or wilful money laundering. An independent and anonymous “whistle blowing line” has been established to ensure that allegations are dealt with responsibly.
Accéntuate recognises the potential impact that its operations have on both the environment as well as the health and safety of its employees and to this end commits itself to comply with the accepted international standards and benchmarks in this regard.
Accéntuate accepts its role as a responsible corporate citizen and therefore understands and accepts its role in the transformation of the society within which it operates. The company commits itself to the eradication of discriminatory practices and to the promotion of a just and equitable society and work environment. The group encourages the use of procurement as a tool in the transformation of society. For this reason the company will not support suppliers who use forced or child labour, wherever possible sustainable and renewable resources will be used Accéntuate supports the provisions of BBBEE within its procurement activities.
Accéntuate seeks to engage with the wider community including government, local authorities and the communities in which we operate in an open, honest and engaging manner.
Accéntuate supports identified charities through the established Corporate Social Investment Committees.

Social & Ethics Committee Charter

Develop and implement a Social and Ethics Policy for the group and it’s subsidiaries in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
Develop and implement monitoring mechanisms for compliance with the Group Social and Ethics Policy.
Appraise the Board of the progress against the policy
Report annually to shareholders at the company’s Annual General Meeting.
